Happy 4th of July

Aloha Everyone,

We made Colorado yesterday, yeah, yippee. Now the fun starts again according to others journals they all are saying after doing the Appalachians, and Kentucky the rest of the trip is not as bad. We shall see first hand real soon.
I am real glad to get out of Kansas it is flat and hot. The scenery was getting pretty dull too. It was just miles and miles of wheat, a few cows, and more wheat. The wheat harvest was prety cool. It is a hot time for the Kansas folks this makes or breaks pretty much their whole year, minus the milo and maybe soybean.
We have seen alot of East Bounders passing us. We had a couple of days of pretty strong headwinds. the winds really start to mess with your mind after a time. It is like time is standing still and we are only going 8 miles an hour.
I have a couple of photos to share with everyone, so until next time keep the rubber side down and enjoy the ride.
Sorry no pictures yet, the internet connection is not the greatest so please be patient and I will show photos soon.
Lisa

Hi, enjoyed reading your blog. My son Jack (age 19) is riding same route a few days behind you, possibly will catch up - finding Kansas hot as you said! I will tell him to to watch out. Best of luck for the remainder!

Is your son riding loaded? Is he by himself? He will probably catch up to us.
Thanks for reading,
